Designing and implementing a flowsheet for pro- ducing paste with a thickener requires integrating the thickening, transportation, and disposal designs. In addition to the physical parameters of flow rates and density, a proper paste system involves matching rheologies between these three phases of the flowsheet. This paper focuses on the practical application of design- ing a paste system.
