This paper describes the rock mass response on the extraction level during the undercutting and early production stages of the Newcrest Mining Limited’s Ridgeway Deeps block cave mine. A summary of the planned instrumentation and monitoring program which is currently being implemented is also included. The paper also presents some of the deformation data collected to date and highlights issues identified and remedies implemented relating to both the quality of the data and data collection practices. }, doi={10.36487/ACG_rep/1002_3_Lowther}, url={https://papers.acg.uwa.edu.au/p/1002_3_Lowther/} }
