A comprehensive 3D analysis was conducted using the FLAC-3D code. A rectangular drift reinforced with fully grouted rockbolts was subjected to dynamic loads representing a rockburst at upper levels. The effects of bolt end plate on bolt dynamic behaviour were also evaluated. Proper interface elements were employed at bolt/grout and grout/host rock interfaces and a full stress analysis of a reinforced roof was carried out. The analysis results demonstrate the stress and displacement distribution along the bolt as a function of dynamic loading.
