BASF is developing a novel flocculant technology (NFT). Through laboratory scale batch evaluations this technology has already been shown to offer effective flocculation performance, whilst increasing the rate of underflow consolidation and significantly reducing associated underflow yield stress. This paper will present application data to confirm the suitability and to demonstrate the performance benefits that BASF NFT provides for dynamic thickener operations.
