At the same time, a large amount of tailings has been accumulated on surface at the mine site which not only occupies land but may also cause environmental pollution. Furthermore there are major costs associated with this operation and its maintenance. Therefore, it is proposed to take advantage of the full-tailings as backfill materials in Jinchuan Mine. According to downward slicing drift mining with cemented backfill, this paper presents the industrial experiments of using backfill based on full-tailings and rod milled sands (TRMS) in Jinchuan Mine. The results show that the addition of 30% full-tailings to other filling materials can ensure the required strength of the fill mass. The fluidity and sedimentation loss rate of this backfill fully meets the safety requirements of Jinchuan Mine. More importantly it can also improve the profitability of mining. Therefore, effective utilisation of full-tailings material can not only solve the problem of a shortage of rod milled sands, but also achieve significant economic and social benefits. }, doi={10.36487/ACG_rep/1404_34_Yang}, url={https://papers.acg.uwa.edu.au/p/1404_34_Yang/} }
