The advantages of bulk emulsions in wet environments are well documented, however, an increasing number of ‘dry’ mining operations in Australia have adopted bulk emulsion systems. The elimination of packaged products is a key economic and safety benefit, while the programmable logic controller (PLC) controlled delivery systems delivers accurate explosive quantities at safer pressures than traditional ammonium nitrate and fuel oil (ANFO) systems. This paper details the DynoMiner™ Delivery Systems and TITAN® 7000 bulk emulsion explosives available from Dyno Nobel Asia Pacific, the second largest explosives supplier in Australia.
