Abstract:
This treatise proposes an approach to mine tailings projects based on the overall comprehension of the
civil–geotechnical requirements of the project. It also considers the management of mine waste and how the project fits into the surrounding environment taking into consideration the neighbourhood, public, impact on traffic, noise, odour, lighting and other potential impacts, and environmental constraints.
